And by fully max out i mean full AA and AF in most of the games released so far. Here's the link to the card i am talking about.

"XFX sells an overclocked XXX model with a 580MHz core and 1.8GHz memory for $335".That's what i am getting. And since it's factory overclocked i dont need to take care of it's cooling and stuff.Right?

Gamespot had this to say in conclusion but i dont get the answer to my question from that. And they also didnt have benchmarks forany of the games in 1280x1024.

"The GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB performs in line with our expectations. It's a quick card, but it does have memory limitations. The card performs wonderfully at 1600x1200 with 4x antialiasing, but falls behind when memory size comes into play at the highest resolution and image quality settings. The stock GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB is a great option if you're willing to sacrifice AA and AF settings for higher frame rates. If you can't live without the higher-resolution and antialiasing settings, you might want to consider jumping up to the 640MB GTS or the 768MB GTX."

My other specs is a E4400 and 2 GB 667 Mhz Ram.

Well I have the same card and have never had a problem with any game @ 1280 * 1024 with AA & AF so IMO you will be fine. There's always the 2900 Pro which looks pretty good right now aswell .

Wow this card even beats the 640 MB GTS in bioshock even at higher resolutions.I am very positively surprised to see that.I didnt know that OCing can make such a difference.

Don't EVER trust GS reviews,read Tweaktowns review,its better in price/performance than 8800GTS 320MB AND 640MB,and the HD 2900XT aswell.

Andthe 2900 PRO isnot really cheaper for someone buying a new PC as i will have to buy a more expensive power supply and mobo for this card.I think it needs dual Pci-E slots.

That card is at least on par with the OC'd 8800 if not better, but the extra VRAM WILL be needed for Dx 10: http://guru3d.com/article/Videocards/459/5 320MB just WON'T cut it even at 12x10.

A Antec Earthwatts 500W is more then enough for a HD 2900PRO and no you don't need expensive mobo just to fit it.

no, your processor will limit any potential gains from your video card.

if u look at the other graphs it shows that in some games the 8800 GTS 329 MB gets its ass kicked. but the 8800 GTS 320 MB is a steal for the performance, it is a good card.

if u want to see how it could perform overclocked then read article below...

I am so sorry man but i am very nervous to spend that much money on a PC so please apologize me for making some repititive topics. You guys have so far been a great help to me and dont think that i am not listening to anybody.I had already decided to buy a 8800 GTS 320 MB but i am just gonna wait for the HD 2900 PRO nowand see how good it is.Thendepending on the graphics cardi will decide on the power supply, casing and mobo.

I will make some more topics regarding some other issuesbefore i buy my PC next month so PLEASE be helpful to me.But then i will post pics of my new PC as i will get DSL for the first time(still using dial up) with my new PC.:)

I think it was very clear what he was saying. If you were confused, you could have clicked on the link he gave, its quite obvious. The E4300 DID bottleneck the 8800 GTX in that benchmark, but the bottleneck was about 110 FPS...not really a problem. So no hes not kidding, but its also not really a big deal at all.

I assume it was at stock-your one at 2.9ghz will be fine! The 2900 is an excellent card and worth the little extra money it will cost over the 8800.

My other specs is a E4400 and 2 GB 667 Mhz Ram.

hey, this is so cool, i have the same specs as you, same CPU, RAM and GPU (exept that i have an ASUS instead of an XFX)

What monitor are you powering with those specs and how are you running your games?

a 15 inch Samsung LCD screen and running games like bioshock, world in conflict all on high settings with no major lags and FPS above 50
im going to change my screen to a 17 inch soon
