Just your cable, connection, you may have to set one as the master and the other as the slave by the use of jumpers on the harddrives. However most newer systems will detect and set automatically.

Master is your "C" Drive, Slave will be your new "D" Drive. Most systems now use cable select, so you just install new drive, do not forget the screws, under your old drive, connect unused connector on ribbon cale, connect power plug, boot up machine, format the NEW dirve, enjoy.

you can have a lot, my mobo allows up to 6, most allow more than 3 or 4 or so, some 10. you can have 2 of the same and run them as RAID which makes them faster, or have one as the main, and the other as a backup drive, which is what i do
