Can I no longer use Steam, error question?

Ok, so I go to use Steam today after a few months of not using it and as soon as I click on the shortcut I get this error:

Steam Client Bootstrapper (buildbot_winslave04_steam_st has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Does anyone know what this means and how in the world I can get back to Steam since I have games on it that I bought and want to play.  Any info is appreciated.

Ugh... re-install it?
