[QUOTE="TheShadowLord07"]You can get those on Steam :| both require GFWL still. tc could buy them via steam to be sure but idk if gfwl would let him play themmy country does not shown on the support list but my gamertag is from the US. so could i play games heres? i really want to get batman aa and resident evil 6

i notice batman aa and resident evil 5 are showing up on the steam store for me. not sure what that mean though
You need to have an @hotmail or @live, hotmail account with an address from one of the supported countries and you'll be fine.
This example here is the worst problem of games, them being sold in the entire world and not having support for all the countries, just like Steam doesn't sell you various games in various regions, games that you're able to buy and you're forced to activate them on Steam, yet if you want to purchase some DLC (and every game these days has DLC) you're not able to because the game is region restricted...retarded.
if i recall, there's a scheme involving offline accounts and US gamertags to make games work on non-supported regions, but i can't remember the details, so TC would have to google it.BrunoBRS
That's not a trick, that's being unable to use your games, offline gamertags you can make without doing a single thing, but you won't get multiplayer or anything else, just singleplayer.
[QUOTE="rilpas"]this thread brings up an interesting question for me I plan on moving from Europe to the US in a few months does that mean that my european GFWL games will be locked?DanielDustNo, there is absolutely no protection or limitation, it just checks if the MS mail account you used to activate GFWL has an address from one of the supported countries, "when the account gets created", a one time only.
that's good
but man, Microsoft better step up their game with GFWL. I have no idea what they're thinking with all these needless copy protections

we have been asking that for a long time. my theory is the same as jim sterlings. gfwl is ment to drive pc gamers away from pc gaming as much as possible in the hopes of them becoming a lemming and getting a 360. then they pay M$ royalties, they get a cut of all game sales and they get to monitor every aspect of your social interaction with likeminded gamers.gfwl is purposeless and thats the way M$ wants it. a pointless waste of space to annoy

i feel the same when publishers put their previous games on the pc and not there newer ones. for example, you get can get mgs 1 and 2 on the pc but not 3(which is a shame cause i would love to start with 3). its obvious they want you want to buy it on consoles and not on pc. of course im probably be delusional.and i kinda agree what you said. make sense that the newer halo an geow games are not on the pc.

then again, the way things have been going lately, consoles are obviously on the way out.
the PS3 and 360 received next to no exclusives this year
That's makes me remind something: I live in Panama and this country isn't supported by GFWL. Some old games like Batman AA or RE5 appear on Steam but other games like Dirt 3 and Batman AC don't appear. Why is that?that's good
