I have a logitech z2300 speakers system with subwoofer. Both my speakers have blown out... can i replace them with bose speakers if i have a logitech subwoofer, or must i get the same logitech speakers. It is very hard to find the speakers, that is why I'm asking. thank you.

The short answer is yes, you can hook up pretty much any 8 ohm speaker to the amplifier in the sub, and possibly even a 4 ohm speaker, though it may not be rated for that load.

It's going to require you using the wires from your old speakers, slicing them, and wiring the + and - cables directly to your Bose speakers - and the results may not be very impressive given the minimal wattage output of the logitech sub amp - but it'll at least get you sound.

This is totally gerry-rigged and I absolve myself of any injury or damages incurred should you fry any of your equipment, and you will if you're not very careful to make sure the + and - cables are not shorting after you cut 'em up.

Should be fun, though.
