I'm running a P4 2.8ghz, Radeon X800 XT, and 1.5gb ram, and I can play L4D just fine at 800x600 resolution. It isn't buttery smooth or very pretty, but it runs lol.

Aww thats not cool. Anyway $45 is very cheap for a video card, you can just save it up from your allowance (if you have any).
