If by debit card, you mean the UK switch/solo/maestro cards, no. But you can use Paypal, and you can setup a Paypal account with a debit card.

Why? It is just as easy too use paypal, and avoid using credit to boot.

I haven't found a site/software that doesn't accept my Visa Electron. As far as I know, it depends on your bank so you should ask them.

How is it easier? There's almost no difference.

The easiest way to find out is trying to purchase AudioSurf with your debit card.

Also, keep in mind that with Paypal, they now have what they call "Secure Cards". Basically, it generates a Mastercard number that can be used exactly like a credit card for sites that don't accept Paypal, without having to use your real CC number and have it floating around on the net somewhere.

Fortunately tho, with Steam, you can use a debit card as long as it is like a Visa debit card or something. I just mentioned the Secure Card thing because a lot of people aren't really aware of that. I think it is great.

I meant that instead of using his debit card that may not work, he can easily just purchase it using a credit card.

I personally don't like using debit cards for purchases. If someone were to steal your card and use it, you can't get your money back like you would with a credit card (where you can just block the transactions).

wow, that awsome I don't have a credit card, because I feel they are only a way to go bankrupt. I hope they don't charge you extreme fee for it though.

As long as your card is backed by one of the big companies like visa or mastercard, you can use the debit card for anything that you can use a credit card for.

If someone tells you they don't accept debit cards, they are either grossly misinformed or just lying.

yeah debit cards work in the same exact way as credit cards you can buy anything online with a debit card just like you could a credit card, the only downside is you cant overspend and go on a shopping spree and not have to worry about the repeurcusion.
