it depends we don't know
1. if you have the right slot avaiable on your motherboard
2. if your powersupply has enough amps to run one
kk thanks. is it better to get the gt or gts?-San-NOOO!!!! You have 300 WATTS,NOT 300A on the 12V rail.
so i will need to get a better power supply?-San-depends looks the powersupply label and see how many amps (A) it has under the 12V+ section
The following answer suggested running the geforce 8600 GT with a 300-watt power supply:"300W Power Supply with 18A on the 12V rail": Is there a hookup for supplying 18a on the 12v rail?
What is the 12v rail? Is it a connectiot between the graphics card to the power supply? Do i obtain it separately from the card.
I must replace the 8300 gs on my PC, and am getting desperate trying to find a card that works with a 300-watt supply.
Please help.
