E8400
P35 DS3L
2x1gb 800mhz OCZ RAM
8800GT @ 720/1775/2000 with an aftermarket cooler via molex
CD drive
IDE 160gb HDD
X-Fi Xtreme gamer

I plan on overclocking the E8400 to 4ghz too with a scythe ninja. Will my rig run on this? And how quiet is it?

yeah because alot of the time PSU's have two 12V rails and split the current but since this PSU only has one its more than enough...its recommended for that GPU 24A 12V rail

Nah you will be fine, on evga's website they want 22A for the card under full load and that number also includes the other parts of your system also. Even 2x9800gtx don't need over 30A

I don't think it would be wasting energy since it would only use what it needed......
