Nope. It won't even handle most games from the last 2 or 3 years. It has a 32(!) MB GMA950 video chip after all.

Only bad part is the video. Upgrade to a dedicated card (probably an 8-series would be best if you have the mone) and you'll be fine.

I am sure. A big drive doesn't help gaming at all. A good CPU and ram does (check) but the most important part is the video card, which this PC doesn't have - it only has a terrible integrated video chipset that doesn't even support directx 7, let alone directx 10 ! If you add a decent PCI-E video card, the PC would be good enough to play any game.

calm down.  it's got a low-end c2d, and vista & bigger hd doesn't mean you'll get better performance.

your 3 yr old hp can handle those games because the games are 3 yrs old

op will need a new video card and it's only got one pci-e slot, so make it count.

lol. the lowend c2d is still better than any other line of processors :P and as to pabbss. with a good graphics card itll be fine to run crysis. make sure it is a relatively decent card. Nvidia Geforce 7800/900 would do. but it would be a great idea to get a 8800GTX. that'd run crysis with great settings with good frame rates :P

I would pass on that HP.  For the $$ there are far better computers out there that will run current games just fine.  When searching for a new PC stear clear of anything with intigrated video, that is if you plan on doing any sort of gamming beyond solitare.

get 4gb of DDR2 dual channel RAM, a GeForce 8800 GTX 512mb super-extreme chick magnet edition, a Core2Duo CPU, and an Audigy 4 soundcard (to prevent buffer latency), and maybe even two Raptor HDDs running in RAID for optimal performance. and Windows Vista Ultimate.

And request the casing to be made completely out of $100 bills.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o, integrated graphics at 32 meg. Sorry charlie, wouldn't sell this product to my customers. It won't optimize aero or glass as part of Vista.. Great application pc though. If you planning on playing games about 6-10 years old, it should perfor m wonderfully. If you expect to run CRYSIS, STALKER or Hellspawn, just read the reviews.cause it ain't happening.

You have a decent processor and a good amount of ram, but you do need a better video card if you want to play any game, because integrated = crap. For around $300 you can get an nvidia 8800 gts 320 mb, which can run crysis (or any game for that matter) in dx10 perfectly fine.
