My sisters laptop messed up so could`nt seem to access anything. So i decided to erase everything and reinstall windows xp after asking her permission and asking her if her laptop came with driver disk which she said yes.But the problem is it did`nt come with any drivers.

So i was wondering if theres any way to download the drivers and burn it on disk so i could install it on her laptop?

I need to install drivers for the ethernet so she could be able to get online.

Yes. The drivers should be available from the manufacturer's website. You can download and burn them to a CD. If your USB port is working I find it faster using a thumb drive.

The laptop manufacturer should have all the hardware drivers available for download off their site. (e.g. HP, Gateway, or whatever)

Downloading and installing are generally separate processes (unless you are trying to use Windows Update or some other update tool). Just open your browser and go to the manufacturer's website like www.dell.com or www.hp.com and look for a link to a Support section of the website or Drivers or Downloads. You'll generally need to search for your specific model of laptop.

Once you find a list of drivers to download follow the links/instructions to save them to your computer. If you get a dialog that asks to "Save or Run" the file choose Save. If you are not getting that option and it is trying to run an installer as soon as you click the download link try right clicking the download link and choosing "Save Target As..." option. This should force your browser to save, not run, the file. Once you get the files stick them on a disk to move them to the laptop.

Hope that helps.
