I would like to add.
Everything you should be thinking about, is on buying STALKER, everything else ride now is not wourth buying, downloading maybe instead. The real problem is not your RIG but the games itself. Thats why I never upgrade before it's worth it. Today I have apreety good rig: 6600, 2Gb DD2 and my favorite 7900 GTX Extreme Editon. I can play almost everything on max, no need for cutting edge. I am not an overclocker or any of it's kind. If you are thinking with your brain not your money, then you one day you will understand that it was not worth on having the best of the best before the real games are out and fully support's your hardware. There are games that are comming out later this year, where I think, I am going to need to upgrade my GFX, but it's only a very big maybe, it deppends on many things, and not what you or I score in the brand new 3dMark2006, course it's only a program for future games.
Many people would never understand this, but others do! Lot's of my friends still playing just fine on: 3GHz P4 or3000+ AMD 64 bit proccessors and 6800 Ultra or in the worst case Radeon 700 Pro. Precticly we are all getting almost the same gameplay expirience becides the graphics. In most cases people get used to it, but many sujests that in the end it deppends on how good is your picture quality on your monitor CRT/LCD. Now I can finally see what they ment. I have seen lot's and lot's of CRT and LCD screens..... I can continew.... but not in this topic. Get 22" Samsung 226BW and you will see what I mean.

I didnt want to wait to buy a new PC, because i was having a relly bad PC before, whit celeron, ATI 9200SE, and 512MB RAM. I had that PC for 2 years, and in middle 2006, i wasnt able to play most of new games. So i decide to upgrade.
Actually, it wasnt me, who decide to upgrade. I didnt bought that PC by myself. It was a gift from my dad. Since i am only 14 years old, i still cant get a job. In our country you have to be 15 years old if you want to get a job. So it wasn my decision when i would get that PC. And by the monitor. I was also thinking of getting that samsung, but i saw a widescreen monitor live, and i didnt like it. Not for games. When you have such a wide screen you think that it would be even better t have higher monitor whit that wide. And then you get 4:3 monitor.
And at the moment i am having a really nice samsung LCD monitor whit PVA matrix, 19", so i am not afraid that games like bioshock or crysis wont work on my PC, since i can play games only in 1280x1024.
I also have a CRT monitor whit res. 1600x1200. And if i would get a new LCD, i would certanly get one whit PVA matrix. But i dont live in USA, so in our country all that stuff is mor expensive.
