cannot install DirectX 9 and later versions

i downloaded CoD: WaW from steam and when i run it i get this error message "This program can't start because d3dx_37.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I have tried reinstalling DX however everytime i try it gets to the end and says it could not be installed

im running windows 7 64bit

GPU is GTX 295 with the latest driver

Thank you so much. I didnt install the dx that you linked me, but i installed the dx that was in the game files in safe mode. Thanks again
