Can't get C&C: Tiberian Sun to work on Vista

The game forum is pretty much dead so i think im better off posting here, i downloaded the freeware C&C: TS 1.3GB file but whenever i try to install it all i get is *failed to initialise, please re-install* or *one or more DLL files is missing*, have you guys had this problem before and do you know of a solution? Thanks!

Just to add, there's 2 a game.exe file and a sun.exe file, iv'e tried running both with the same problem

Ok, so somehow i got it working but i still have a problem, i made it compatibale with windows 98 and ran as admin and then opened the game.exe file and it worked but there has not been an install process the game just runs?? is this normal?

What do mean by that? I checked my install and I can run the game from both game.exe and sun.exe. If you're having problems, just get a torrent of it. The game's free anyway.
