I built a really good gaming rig, can max out anything. nice 24 inch screen. 5.1 surround. ect. but i cant get into pc gaming at all, i got all kinds of the best PC games but when it comes down to it, i just cant get into any of them. I got this mad gaming set up and all i play on PC is sims 3, only cuz it was a poor port job for ps3. Anyone else cant get into PC gaming? i always find my self kicking back and playing ps3 on the 42 inch TV,

Lawl, troll. You should post this in the System Wars forum next time. It'll be less obvious there.

I don't know if he's trolling or not, but I experienced the same thing when I first got my gaming PC. it took me a few months of blehness before it dawned on me how awesome PC gaming is. I think it was when I started playing modded oblivion. PC games are just so much more versatile and open in their possibilities compared to console games.

Especially nowadays, where it seems like the only two major types of console games are FPS and third person "cinematic experiences" that sacrifice interactivity and exploration for good graphics and quick time events.

No i don't have the same problem I find my self playing my games on my pc on my wall mounted 32" t.v at my desk or my 60" t.v in the living room in full 1080p with 60fps with AA as opposed to on my ps3's 720p with 30fps with little no AA its a better more enjoyable experience and games are cheaper as well so why pay more for the inferior version?

I'm quite the opposite, actually. I prefer doing my gaming on a PC as opposed to a console because the controls are a lot better and I am just more easily immersed in them. There's also so many things you can do with a PC that you can't do with a console.

Maybe you're just playing the wrong games.

It probably depends on the games you like. I prefer strategy and WRPG, which are primarily on PC. There are strategy and WRPG options on consoles, but they are worse on consoles. Simplified gameplay (Dragon Age Origins, Civ Revolution), no mods (Oblivion), and worse graphics (all console games run on lower resolutions than PC, with blurry graphics in long distance).

I like how the only component you can name is the screen and the sound system. Don't know enough about PC's to even google what the best parts are? How sad.

Good try. But System Wars is that'a way. /facepalm. Oh, and your reasons are all invalid. Any of us PC gamers can debunk your post in less than 5 minutes, but you're not worth my time.

^ you will never get the 1 minute it took you to write this back...ever...-stare- had to say it. If you're a troll, go to system wars and get set on fire... if you're not a troll, just play one awesome game on PC and learn how epic we are compared to you console only gamers :D for example, try playing Team Fortress 2 on the PC and then play it on any other system...you can ONLY play it on the PC when you get a whiff of it...

I can't seem to be able to bring myself to game on anything but my PC this year... if I made a thread on a console board about it however I would likely get modded :?.

It's so much easier to sit at my PC and start up a game. To play PS3, I have to go downstairs, find two remotes and one controller, start up the sound bar and television, set the right inputs on both, start up the PS3 and wait for it to boot up, log in, make sure the right game is in, navigate to said game, wait for it to start up, load save file.... woot! I'm playing a console game!

It used to be simpler to get into a console game than a PC game. Not anymore, lol.

This. And then you find your cat sitting on your recliner. Another obstacle! Shoo shoo! I agree on everything though. I like sitting at my desk more than sitting back on my couch or recliner chair. I don't know, it's just my preference.

lol having the "best" games doesnt necessarily mean that you're going to have fun. It took me a while to stop caring too much about graphics and start caring about the games that make me feel good and dont feel like a chore. Theres the games that the PC is known for and then theres the games you like. I love RTS games - so I love Starcraft 2 and other strat games on PC. I also like shooters and multiplayer so I got TF2 and Bad Company 2. Both are fun and Ive put tons of hours into both. Its all about the fun. And then I also dont spend most of my time gaming. I like having a strong, no slow down PC that I can rely on to do whatever, whenever. Anyway, whether you're trolling or not, you're probably going about PC gaming the wrong way. Its not all about the Crysis' of the platform. I liked Crysis but it isnt a game I like playing more than once. lol the best games are the ones that are just solid like SC2 or TF2.

Almost everything you can do on a console, you can do on a pc. Just get a controller and play that way if that's what you want. Only the exclusives are unavailable.

I actually agree with TC. I built a great gaming PC last year and just haven't gotten into gaming that much on it. I will agree that performance wise, and definitely graphics wise, my PC destroys my 360 and PS3. I suppose it's that I prefer a controller to mouse and keyboard more often than not. Or maybe because people I game with buy their games on consoles. I really do however enjoy lying in bed and just relaxing while playing games, as opposed to sitting in my desk chair with the feeling that I have to work or do school assignments. It's less enjoyable in that respect. It isn't PC games that I find unenjoyable, it's the atmosphere.

Try attending System Wars instead. And no offense but you don't exactly give the impression that you have much PC knowledge. TC is extraordinarily vague and lacking in detail.

You can set your PC to run on your 42'' TV then kick back with a 360 controller if you really wanted to. Then again we know you're trolling.

You can't get into better controls, better graphics, better prices and better performance? Your brain must be malfunctioning.
