Hi

Some time ago I bought a new motherboard and from that day my wireless adapter won't work.

The motherboard is a G41M-Combo (Version 1.3)

The adapter is a D-Link Airplus XtremeG DWL-G520(+) (Driver version 4.0.40.1)

I have no idea what to do to make this work. I remember installing new drivers but that didn't solve the problem. I don't really remember a lot of it cause that was a long time ago.

I hope you guys can help me. Thanks in advance.

I have an MSI G41M-P26 motherboard on the 2nd PC in my sig and a USB2 ****** WiFi-N adapter. Both work great. From my experience, least problematic installation is to use the install CD. If the adapter is detected okay and you can't log in to the router, then, you might be missing the latest security protocols. For For most routers, it's WPA or WPA2.

For Windows, the latest Service Pack usually have them if not already included in the main OS.

best thing to do would be to go to the dlink forums and ask there, or get a support ticket.

other than that are you sure you installed your mobo drivers correctly? do other things work through the same port?

If you're getting a certificate error when trying to log in to the router, download and install SP3 (which has the WPA2 protocols for XP).

Hi guys

Sorry for the late response. But I fixed it. Updated my driver again, really wasn't that easy. Nearly impossible to find the right one that worked. But I did... Then had to change all kind of stuff to make it compatible with the windows version and the router.... You don't wanna know.

Thanks for all the responses.
