I wanted it in "c:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\Drivers & Software", on this pc. However when I chose to do this the drivers dont install.

The installer finishes but afterwards there are still no working drivers. Even though I see driver files in the folder, but If I let it install in the default location it seems to work.

Why is this? I simply dont want it outside my C:\Program Files... But I dont have a choice?

My guess is whoever programmed the installer didn't account for someone wanting to put it somewhere other than its default directory.

Only thing I can really suggest is to either install them from the device manager (like if you were just pointing to the associated .inf file) or to extract the files to the default directory for now.
