Hey so I just bought Empire total war and installed it with no problems to my computer. But for some reason when I tried to start it up I would get to the screen with all copy right stuff and then after ten seconds or so my screen goes blue. It then says there was an error and a bunch of trouble shoot things. I was wondering if any one could help me out and tell me what it is I NEED to do. Thanks.

how is your computer specs? Because especially on Vista Empire Total War takes a minimum of 2 gigs of RAM (that doesn't even include playing it on the highest settings), and depending on your Video Card. Have you tried re-installing it? Empire Total War to be played on its highest settings does take up a lot of resources and depending on your comp even if you have the minimum requirements it can cause problems granted it is just released so of course there are probably some bugs that need to be addressed with patches,etc... If worse comes to worse, if you saved your receipt i would recommend you return it for a new copy.

I know I have lots of room so I my be the card although I wasn't planning on playing the game on it's full res anyway. I have Company of Heros and I play it on low res with no proplems. could I uninstall another game to free up more room and then try reinstalling ETW?

If you have the HD space i don't see why you need to uninstall another game. Though yeah if possible try to uninstall it, if you already have it installed and delete any leftover files, so you can install it fresh and hopefully it works. What is your processor power?

I am assuming you are using Vista go to your Control Panel-->System and Maintenance-->System (view amount of RAM and Processing speed)

if the re-install doesn't work than maybe your computer can not handle the actual game? I would suggest if all else fails returning it for a new copy since you could just have some bad discs. I have had it happen before.
