Can't upgrade graphic card drivers :(

Hey everyone, i have a problem.

I can't upgrade my graphic drivers! I have a 8800GTX, and everytime doing the restart after the installation.

Right after windows loads i get a blue screen saying i should either update my drivers, or change to a different graphics adapter.

So i have to start in safe mode, to go back to the old drivers, but they result in graphical glitches in almost all newer games :(.

Any suggestions?

Uninstall the drivers->turn off the pc-> remove and re-plug the video card ->turn the pc,->install new drivers.
