Hey, I'm looking to start to post commentarys and videos on youtube from my ps3... so the question stands, what is a good capture card (preferably HD or good video quality) that is compatible for the PS3? One problem is that my computer is far far away from my ps3 so i can't connect it directly.

This leads to the next question, what kind of video editing software should i get? I want to keep it under 100 bucks and Sony Vegas looks real nice. Any further suggestions? Thank you so much for the help, here's to a successful youtube career!(?)

Well, if you want HD quality, then I can recommend you the following:
Blackmagic Design: Intensity Pro.

I know, you wanted $100 and this ain't that...

However, that's what I use, and I can tell you that it's THE best capture card, in my opinion!

Though, you might be interested that PS3 has HDCP protection, so you can't record through the HDMI on it.
You need the component cables if you want to record in HD from it.

While that card is pure sex, i think it's still a bit outta my range, hahaha. If you can only capture video through the component cables of a ps3, then can you still get HD picture? It seems like that wouldn't be possible without using HDMI...

Intensity Pro has 1x HDMI input and 1x HDMI output.

Only way to record HD footage from PlayStation 3 is to use component cable. Don't mess this with composite!
PS3 is HDCP secured, so you CAN'T record via HDMI.
