Catalyst 12.8 amdkmdap stopped working

Hi I had a problem with the catalyst 12.8 drivers on my 7970. amdkmdap stopped working. I uninstalled them then installed the 12.6 again and the problem went away, anyone else have this problem?

I haven't had any problems with the 12.6 drivers and my performance seems fine.

I couldn't see any other ppl having this problem on the internet. Only with the catalyst 12.4 drivers. I'm using vista fully updated. Windows 7 costs too much. I was hoping other people would have this problem so amd would fix it, but nah C'est la vie

I don't have amdkmdap issue with Cat 12.8.

My setups...

Cat 12.8, Windows 8 Pro x86 and Radeon HD 6250M

Cat 12.8, Windows 7 Ultimate X64, Radeon HD 5730M/6950/7950.

I formatted my pc and installed the catalyst 12.8 and got the crash again. But I have increased the pcie and ddr3 voltage in the bios. It says plus auto +0.5v 1v and so on Should I increase it further? Does it do any damage?

I have a arctic tripple fan on my 7970. I don't know much about voltages other than too high can damage things.

nope played a bit longer same crash back to 12.6

I installed the 12.8 from amd's website instead of sapphires and so far no crashing. :)
