Catalyst 7.8 Beta

The 7.8 Catalyst drivers have been leaked. From what I've read they show some pretty substantial performance gains for the 2x00 series cards. I've also heard they fix the AA performance issues the 2x00s have had.

This happened about a week ago but I just thought I'd let everyone know as it's the first time I've seen anything.

I'll just wait for the official one, but I read that. I read on some forum of stories of people gaining up to 50-80 fps in 16xAA situations.

Ok, so I just installed the beta drivers, and they are amazing, simply put. I never expected to gain another 30-40% performance with a driver update.

With the 7.7 drivers in vista I got average of 45ish fps with 4xAA in oblivion in the great forest @ 1280x1024. Now with 8xAAwith the 7.8 beta drivers Iget average of 62 fps.... thats better than a gtx. 16xAA gives me 57fps.
