Hey guys, I was after a pc suitable for playing games such as Dark Souls,Arma 2 and more, and have found two reasonably priced PC's.

I was just wondering how good they would be, I know they're cheap but I don't really know much in terms of computers. I could pay a bit more to fix them up if needed, but couldn't really afford too much.

Thanks in advance.

The first costs £305

The second costs £299

So really I just wanted to know if these would be compatible with recent(ish) games, and what else (if anything) i should buy with them.

While the CPU is perfectly fine, it's the GPUs that are provided with them that are lacking. The one with the HD 6450 - don't get if you want to do any sort of gaming over flash games. That computer with the HD 6450 would be a good HTPC for watching movies on, but that's about it.

The one with the HD 6570 is better, but still not really a gaming video card. If you're gaming on a monitor/TV that only supports up to 720p, the card should do okay as long as you turn down graphic options. If you're gaming on a resoultion over 720p, you might cry when you see the computer trying to run the more demanding games.

I'd suggest you look for at least a HD 6770 at minimum from the 6xxx series or the HD 7770 from the 7xxx series. These two cards shouldn't cost much and they offer good performance for intro PC gaming.

Both have terrible graphics cards that won't stand a chance at playing Arma 2.
