So what you guys think of me getting this little pre-built pc to run WoW? Is it good enough?

PC: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883109022

along with this cheap GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121240

Also, would it be better if I invested in more ram rather than the GPU?

I have a budget of around $300 so yeah I'm trying to come up with something reasonable and nope i cant save more money for something better unfortunately :(, if you guys got any other recommendations post away.

I'd say grab a slightly better gpu.

But it will run WoW no problems at all, so happy gaming! :)

Nice good to hear, but do you think something would be missing or flawed since this is refurbished and if so would newegg take care of it? (never ordered from newegg b4 :P)

You could actually go a little cheaper and get something slightly better on Tiger Direct:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4040108&Sku=M975-5185

That way, you could upgrade to 2GB RAM as well, while staying within your budget:

BTW, both Newegg and Tiger Direct are good companies, and you should be able to return a refurbished system at either place with little problem.

So you would suggest the ram over the gpu?

You could actually get both, plus the computer, for about $300. If you don't want to push your budget like that, then the graphics card is the better buy over the RAM.

Computer - $230
RAM - $36
8400GS - $30

Shipping - ~$25
--------
Subtotal - $320
Rebate - -$10
--------
Total - $310

Okay, it's a little above $300, but in my opinion, the extra performance the RAM would bring (in addition to the 8400) is worth it, especially because the system runs Vista, which is a huge memory hog. The computer will work without the extra RAM boost, but it certainly won't be optimal.
