Ok im under a tight budget and i wanted to get a better compter than the crappy one i have now. Im more of a mild gamer so the biggest thing i'd be running would be GHIII. So i started looking around and i guess this is what i came up with.

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=8910392
(im recycling my 160HD and dvd burner form the old comp)

Any suggestions or comments(better, cheaper parts, etc.) would be awsome =D

Unfourtunately for you GH3 has high system requirements ^^

Geforce 8400GS is a poor card and therefore will struggle playing most games. Try spending that tiny bit more and go for a Geforce 8600GT. You could argue that it's not a great card, and I'd actually say the same but for people on a tight budget it's not half bad:

kk THX so much for the comments ^_^

i was looking in the link for the wish list of the other rig and i guess the only big difference i could see was the video card and that the procesor which is Intel instead of AMD(which i think its better but correnct me if im wrong)

so i think im going to be recycling my 160HD and DVD burner from my old comp cuz they are basically the same as in that other recommended rig. So this is what i have so far

any more comments will be greatly appreciated =D

Looks good, I suggest you get a p45 motherboard with an intel processor such as the e7200. This will give you an amazing boost in performance.

Why is everything in there twice? :? If you're getting a dedicated video card i would go with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138112 and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103211 Try to find cheaper RAM, also i would get a $20 Rosewill case and a $30-40 FSP/Silverstone PSU.

THX u guys for all the input, i knew my gamespot pips wouldnt let me down XD

ok so i considered everything and i think im going to end up sticking with AMD build ^_^
I also ran a "Power Supply Calculation" and it came out to be about 370W, and the Case comes with a 400W one, so i think i should be fine, right? lol cuz i dont plan on doing any OC(not that i know how to lol)

So i think this is what im going to be stick with
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=8910392

Not counting the Monitor the rig come out to be $403.60 (w tax and shipping included)

Again thx so much and any more comments and suggestions are more then welcome XD

I would highly suggest getting a better PSU. PSU's that come with cases are almost always crap.

Newegg has the 430w and 500w earthwatts on very nice sells right now. Both would have more than enough juice for that rig, and will be a lot better quality than what comes with that case.

Hi Necroz,

Just came across your post and tried to view your WL, but it only has a monitor and video card on it. But based on the previous posts, the 8600GT is far superior than the 8400GS. You may even want to consider the 8600GT 1GB Card if your budget allows it.

I build gaming PC's for a gaming PC company on daily basis for fellow gamers, with budget in mind of course. I too am an avid PC gamer and do my best to work around you. I can probably come up with a rig similar to yours if you are interested for around the same price (or cheaper), assembled. I sent you a PM, if you can, please check it out. =)

Hey Necro,

It's all good. I totally understand where you are coming from. I remember the first time I built my first one. It's pretty exciting. Best of luck to you with that.

If you want, you can send me a part list and i can see if I can get the parts for you too for the same or cheaper. If not, its all good too. :)
