Anyone know a good/cheap way of lighting my green screen and my subject?

Floodlights are cheap but they dont really spread the light evenly, and get very hot..

apparently flourescent tube lighting like used in kitchens is supposed to be very good for green screens, they run cool aswell.. you can get professional lighting just for green/bluescreens but you pay a price and they usually arent that cheap, well worth the investment if you dont want to mess about though.

I use 3 metal worklights, the kind with the metal reflector back you can get from Walmart. Two of them have daylight CF bulbs, the other is a daylight balanced flood. I've gotten pretty good results with that setup. You just need to make sure the screen is lit evenly and your subject doesn't cast a shadow on your green screen.

how far away does my subject needs to be from the green screen? Keep in mind my space is limited.
