city interactive has talks fps's with eurogamer.. heres waht they had to say

cryengine 3 is being sued on 2 games as we speak another is using the jupiter EX engine and the last one is unreal engine 3.0

what i can confirm, based on research:

one is wolfshanze II the upcoming wwII fps steven black is working on (jupiter ex engine)

one is pirate hunter a modern day fps possibly using the unreal engine 3.0

the other two i cant discern at this time. but those would more than likely be the 2 cryengine3 games

at the very end of this article he teases at "perhaps sniper 2" refrencing sniper ghost warrior

No disrespect but the "is being sued" part was pretty funny. Now what i now is that wolfshanze 2 has already being made if i am not wrong and what i saw from pirate hunter was terrible. BUT if they use cryengine 3, we might as well get a true sequel to far cry. Sadly that is not the case:( But city interactive will do a sequel propably.

lol CI really likes churning out a ton of games, just look at this list

http://www.city-interactive.com/index.php?m=games

They should focus on quality rather than quantity...

Cryengine doesn't look like anything special to me. The latest updates to UT 3 make it just as good.

In the tech demo, but if you look carefully it's just as bad as it was before since they demonstrated it on an environment similar to UT 3/GoW, and those kind of environments bring out the worst in UE 3. God rays are nothing special, just because UE 3 now has it doesn't mean it's actually any better. CE 1/2 are PC engines, UE 3 is a console engine, it wasn't designed to impress through it's power, compared to CE 2, it's a relic even with this update.

The new engine is not a PC engine, it's a Multi-Platform engine and it comes with all the limitations.

That's why I didn't mention it, CE 3, because we don't know yet what's it's actually capable of, one thing's for sure, at least the modding capabilities are amazing. If we compare the tech demos, tho, without knowing if it was "fixed" or that is CE 3's actual power, then the relic argument stands here too.

wolfshanze is in other places already.. it never arrived here. its coming here thats my ground for it being the wwII fps.. as beyond that franchsie there is only sniper: art of victory to get a sequel of some kind.. whih would be cheeseball to me.

pirate hunter is another such example though it seems off as its based on the jupiter II engine (NOLF 1)

CE2 is a PC engine, and CE3 is an improved version of CE2. Not improved by much, but it's still equal to or better than CE2.

Have you seen what they did with fear's and chrome's engine? They gonna make Cryengine 3 shine. Dont believe this "multiplatform" crap. Its a good engine, thats all it matters. Thats all they need to make it work well on the pc. Its not like their games are console ports like most devs outhere.

well like its not like they dont its just starting sniper ghost warrior is going ps3 and it will use the recently update chrome engine. we pc owners have chrome engine v4.0

ps3 woners are getting 4.1

kind of unfair really...
