This game has been out for a while. I have never been a huge PC gamer because my computer has sucked for so many years. This was a game that I have been interested for a while so, Thats why I was wondering, if it is still worth it even though their ar emany better MMORPG's out there.

Um I think he realizes that, he did say MMORPG and most aren't free (unless they're Korean rubbish). And TC, I haven't played any but I heard if you like superhero/villain type things then its good. as for an mmorpg its pretty good too i heard. But I don't know how many people play it or anything now.

IMO it's the only MMO worth it.It's an awesome game with a great community.Oh and unlike WoW this actually has experience debt.

What set City of Heroe/Villains apart from other MMO's is that its the only type that lets you design and level up your own superhero in an urban setting instead of leveling up an elf, dwarf or other fanstasy type character in a fantasy world.

If you find it more appealling to play a super hero than an elf, then go ahead and get one of the versions. But before you but down any money, see if they're offering a 5 day or 10 dayfree gaming period to see if its something you really want.

That's why WOW appeals to new gamers. After all that hard work to gain exp. it really sucks to lose them for not planning a decent strategy against a massive boss or running and accidentally falling off a cliff. (Stupid floating island.)

Yeah i actually like that you can't just go crazy against any enemy. You have to learn the consequences to your actions.Diablo 2 for example had xp debt as well.In city of whenever you get debt half of anyy incoming xp goes to your debt and half goes to leveling so no matter how many times you die you still will level but at least there is a pretty good penalty for not thinking.

Actually, I don't think there are many better MMORPG's out there. There may be newer games but there aren't many that are better. The combat in CoX is where the game really shines. It makes other MMORPG's appear to run in slow-motion. Fighting in CoX is fast, furious and, with a full group who know what they're doing, missions can be borderline epic and pretty chaotic.

XP Debt really isn't a big deal either. You DON'T LOSE xp. You simply don't gain as much until your debt is fulfilled. It usually takes about 1 mission (sometimes less) to clear up your debt so it's pretty much a non-issue.

The game's population is still very good. I've never had problems finding a team when I wanted one. You can also solo if that's more your style.

The character creation (as others have already said) is BY FAR the best in ANY MMORPG. I've never seen two characters that look identical.

They've recently added crafting into the game too. It's not my thing but a lot of people seem to enjoy it. Anyhow, it's a good game and probably one of the better MMORPG's out there.

Its the only MMO I havnt gotten board with and quit, I quite enjoy it. 8 man missions are some of the most fun I've had in a game.
