Civ V Game Pace

So far I've been playing on Quick, but I'm thinking Standard might feel more appropriate for this type of game. Your thoughts?

I just leave it on standard.  Call me unimaginative - but it feels more balanced and the way it's meant to be played.  Wouldn't want anything longer though - Civ games take long enough as it is especially when you're OCD about them like me and wind up agonizing over every little detail.

I always play on Epic but I find it to be too fast paced. Marathon is way too slow in this game though, was a lot better in Civ IV.

Epic seems right

I like Epic. It gives a little bit more time for military units to attack without becoming obsolete. The number of moves units have stays the same no matter what Game Pace, but research speed slows down as Game Pace increases. Marathon feels like too much just hitting end turn over and over. Sometimes I will do Quick speed though if I want to finish a game in one evening. I do that a lot with scenarios.
