I will more then likely be building a new pc soon, and for a case I was looking into a clear acrylic case. I just wanted to know, are these the same, if not similar to setup compared to a normal case? I know you will have to wire the power switches etc, but I am more concerned about the actual mounting of parts inside the case.

Here is the case I was looking at: http://www.clearpc.ca/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=28

I know that I will need to add in the included fans, especially with the system I'm planning on building. If anyone is interested in the specs just let me know and I will post them, I'm "quite" sure that this case should fit them all.

I'm not able to look at that link right now, but I can check it out when I get home.

Just from my general knowledge, though, acrylics are not as good as metal for keeping the internal parts cool. But if you have air conditioning and keep it out of sun light it would be ok.

I will have to check out that link though to see if there is anything different about that case.

They're the same but unless it's good one like the danger den ones i'ld say avoid them as they've usually got pretty bad cooling also i'ld only recommend them to an experienced builder with lots of cable management tricks cause an acrylic case can easily look horrible without proper cable management.

Protip: make sure it's a quality case. Protip: acrylic cases are fingerprint magnets. I don't know if there's anything that you can put on it like a clearcoat but if there was, that's something I'd recommend doing on the outside of the case so it won't become a dust and print magnet. Most of those I've seen have really poor quality cooling, with only room for tiny and few fans. So research carefully.

Cool, good to hear.... I'll probably just stick with a traditional case then.

Thanks for the input!

I would probably stay away. My case window gets pretty dusty and needs to be cleaned quite a bit and I have airfilters on my intake fans. I can't imagine how bad an acrylic case would get.

Seriously? That's fantastic news, then :)
