the taxi driver in vampire bloodlines. some people told me its jack but

he has a different voice or the girl in fear should be your mother but it cant be

cause she died as a child so she couldnt grow up and have a baby.

its a blue suit, and his name is the G-Man; but like you said, no one knows exactly what he does.

Cliff-hangers in general piss me off. I dont mind an ending that leaves room for a sequel, but i expect to see a solid conclusion in a game story. Tiberium Sun: Firestorm for example. The ending brings an end to all the events in the game, but left a huge possibility for a sequel cough*SPOILERSroomfilledwithkaneclones*cough. thats a good ending, but then you have games like Halo 2 that destroy the building action by stopping the story dead in its tracks.

The taxi driver is rumored to be Cain, as in Cain and Able, the father of all of the kindred (except the Tremere) in the World of Darkness.

or the girl in fear should be your mother but it cant be cause she died as a child so she couldnt grow up and have a baby.

If you have played FEAR to it's finish you find out that the girl is all grown up when you fight her. There is a good chance that she is the character's mother via in vitro fertilization.

I finished fear twice and still find the story pretty confusing

btw i find the story in half-life 2 totally awful you run through the game like an idiot killing combine and

zombies without knowing what for. i mean in hl1 you were trapped in black mesa and wanted only to survive

and escape the complex but in hl2 u dont have a target or something

Your target in Half Life 2 IS the Combine. How the G-Man works, at least as far as I can figure, is that he is a middle man of sorts who has all these mercenary people like Gordan Freeman. So people hire him to do something and then he gets the appropriate mercenary and sends them into the field to do what ever the buyer that has hired the G-Man wants them to do, and once it is over the G-Man returns them to that wierd sleep state. This would mean that the entire point of Half Life 2 is for you to destroy the Combine and their citadel so humanity can start its march toward freedom once more. At least that is how I have been able to figure it out so far because otherwise you are right; the game makes no sense.

I like cliffhangers as long as they get a proper answer! The ending of Monkey Island 2 only sort of was answered in the next games, as they weren't written by the creator of the story and by the way, what's the Secret of Monkey Island??

I hope we will get answer from HL2-Episodes 2 and 3 and hopefully a proper conclusion to the saga with Half-Life 3.

Half Life 2 episodes 1,2, and 3, make up Half Life 3 and are supposed to conclude Half Life as far as I know, which means the sh*t will start hitting the fan in episode 2 and if it doesn't it definetly will in episode 3.
