I kept reading on the net how everyone loved Undying, and it got meexcited for this game, but after playing the demo, I'm disappointed. It doesn't have any of the feel of Undying. It feels more like a more morbid version of Gears of War. None of the suspense, story and creative weapons of Undying. I think the game has some positive merits of its own, but please quit mentioning Undying in the same sentence as this game, it is nowhere near as good as that masterpiece of PC gaming.
It's a demo, not the full game. You can't really comment on the story because you haven't played the game yet so you don't know how its going to play out. But I will agree with you that Undying is PC gaming heaven :)
Jericho was never meant to be anything like Undying? its just the same author. Have you guys read any of Clive Barker's other works? or seen his movies. no two are similar really.
just coz he wrote it, doesnt mean its gonna be an identical or even similar experience. Undying was an absolute masterpiece I agree, but no one was ever comparing the gameplay to Undying. the only tie in is the author, and therefore the creative elements of the scipting would have been compared.
im highly looking forward to Jericho, after playing Undying i have confidence that Clive Barker will deliver a deep and thrilling storyline, as evident in almost every piece of work he has done.

I wasn't expecting to be reminded of Undying. However, since it does have a mainstream horror novelist's name on it, I would expect it to be somewhat horrifying. The demo wasn't in the slightest. And I really don't think Barker had much to do with the writing or the design of the game, much like Tom Clancy has little to do with the creative input to the many Tom Clancy games.
I'll have to wait to see what the final reviews say. But a couple early ones don't show much promise.

Actually it was a crack at his name.. He named him self the MCP and gave him self the avatar.. The point refrenced was from the movie it self, nto the game.

Question. Did the designers or Distributer ever compare it to Undying? I think you can only blame any assumptions you had made about the game on yourself. Just because it's Clive Barker does not mean it's the same. He's not a one dimensional writer.
