I have a thread going on the HardOCP forums but because I have such a specific question it's hard to find advice. This places gets a lot more traffic so maybe I'll get lucky here. (not that I'm a stranger to gamespot, I just never discuss hardware here)

In a nutshell my problem is that I live in South Florida and during the summertime my gaming room gets way too hot from the heat coming out of my computer. I made the mistake of buying an nforce 680 board which has the worst NB and SB heat output. My NB and SB run so hot that I cannot even hold my finger on either of them for more than 2 seconds. I also have 2 8800 GTS in SLI that throw a lot of heat out the back. If I lived farther up north and could have the computer in my 60 degree cold basement floor this wouldn't be a problem. However, in the summertime my gaming room gets to an ambient temperature in the high 80's anytime I do any gaming.

To solve the problem I'm getting rid of the nfarce and getting either a P35 or an X48, possibly a P45 if they are available before the end of June. I'm also ditching the 8800's and getting a single 4850. I'm also going to get rid of my generic mid-tower and pick up a full tower. I considered the antec 1200 but it is way overpriced for the features it has. If I had an unlimited budget I'd go for a silverstone. Anyways to get to the point....

I'd really like to hear from anybody that has a Coolermaster 1000 or the Coolermaster 1000 S, especially if you run your system in a high ambient environment, I keep my AC set to about 77 in the summertime.

I really like the Coolermaster 1000 for it's sound dampening and you get a lot of nice features with the case. The Coolermaster 1000 S has the 200mm fan on the side but you give up a lot of the nice features the 1000 has.

They look like alright cases. I myself am not a fan of the PSU on the bottom design, but that's just me.

I am biased, but I love the Thermaltake Armor and would advise you to at least look at it. But I do agree about getting a full tower. I personally feel that if you have the room for a full tower, it is well worth it.
