This has to be one of the absolute BEST years for PC gaming. Yeah, I hear all the talk about "the PC is dying" and "there is nothing to play", but if people would slow down a little bit and not try to BLOW through every game so quickly, they might actually get to enjoy them.

Reasons why the PC is STILL the best platform in 2007:

1. The Orange Box

2. World in Conflict

3. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

4. Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar

5. BioShock

6. Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

7. RACE - The WTCC Game

8. Supreme Commander

9. Europa Universalis III

11. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

12. Guild Wars: Eye of the North

13. Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword

14. DiRT

15. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

.....More Goodness to come......

16. Hellgate London

17. Gears of War

18. Crysis

19. Call of Duty 4

20. Time Shift

21. Unreal Tournament 3

22. Universe at War: Earth Assault

All I am trying to say is we always complain about what we DO NOT have instead of enjoying what we DO have. This years lineup has been (IMHO) phenomenal. I wonder how this list can be topped in 2008?

yeah, 2007 is the best year for PC gaming since 1998, i think - as a balance of quality and quantity

and almost half of those games are also coming to other systems

Yeah, there are probably plenty others I forgot to mention but that is just ANOTHER reason why it is one of the best years for PC gaming. There are plenty of quality titles to choose from this year. Thanks! ;)

The orange box is right where it should be on your list, but why isn't Stalker even in your top 5 !?

That game was amasing, C'mon you gotta admit it....

yeah the only thing we're missing this year are flight sims and space sims :(LTZH
Yeah, could had used a few more space sims. But there was Spaceforce which was half-decent, and Tarr Chronicles which apprently is ..well not so decent, tho I liked the combat and ship customization in the demo, but according to the review it pretty much sucks othervise.

Yeah I actualy bought space force rogue universe, But it was nothing diffrent then the demo lol, it's extremely repetitive. I waisted $40 I guess.

Yep, horrid story/voice acting and bad boring combat and missions made it very repetitive, only thing that kept me playing for a while were the pretty visuals. One would think that once you get the technical stuff right like in SF it wouldn't be that hard to make a good space sim, even if by just copying the old succesfull ones, but I guess not. :(

Yeah I have no idea why people are saying pc gaming is dying.. without pc hardware and software no consoles would have any games either where do these people think console games come from?

Personally I think it is too late for pc gaming to die. There are too many people playing each genre, there is still so much money to be had. All those games just prove it.
