Hell March, for those of you who either don't know or don't remember, is sort of the signature song of the Red Alert games. There are two versions, one from the original games, and one remixed version from Red Alert 2.

http://www.frankklepacki.com/

Bottom of the page, select "CnC Series" under music. The song titled Hell March (one-third of the way down on the list) is the original track, the song titled HM2 (two-thirds of the way down) is the newer version. Which one's your favorite? It's a close call for me, but I like the remixed version more. I loved the atmosphere it built while watching the introduction movie for RA2. Granted, I never really got into the older RA games, so I'm a bit biased.

I prefer the original. I don't like the less rock oriented theme of the second version.

A few years back I bought Red Alert 2 at Best Buy and it came with all 4 soundtracks for the C&C games. Being the geek that I am, it was almost always playing in my car for the next couple of years. I must say that I enjoyed the music for Red Alert 2 the most out of all four of them. I would get people asking what that music was all the time hehe.

The original gets my vote. I have both the Command and Conquer Red Alert music CD and the Tiberian Sun one as well. Good music for a game.

The original beats the crap out of the remix.

Besides, the intro for RA had this song. It was awesome to see the TU-16 Bager or the allied Cruiser firing its guns while the song was playing. Pure Awesomeness

The intro of RA also had the Hellmarch as its intor music, but it was the second version.

I like them both, but I prefer the orginal one, since its longer.

What do you mean? That doesn't make any sense. Red Alert1 used Hell March music (original). Red Alert2 also used Hell March but a new version called Hell March 2 (this is the remix).

As a regular music track, I like Hell March 2 more then the original. The original is too long, you hear the same beat playing for 5 minutes non-stop and that makes it boring in my opinion. I also don't like the last 2 minutes of the music track.

But I like the music from the original Red Alert's intro more then the music from the second Red Alert's intro, because they cut it short and made the music fit perfectly in the original intro. Both intros are exellent though.

I think the original is my favourite, but only the rock bit.

I have a 7 minute version in my MP3 collection, the first half being awesome rock and the second half being some weird electronic thing that was terrible. I think the electronic stuff made it into the game as background music on a menu, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I think the original is probably the best.

I just started up the Red Alert 2 soundtrack again... It's excellent. Anyway, 2 other good tracks I noticed are "In Deep" and "Destroy". Especially the second half of "Destroy" is awesome.

One awefull track I noticed is the "In the house" disco mix thingy. I wanted to cut my ears of when I listened to it... But I decided just to turn the music off instead.
