heya guys, i got once again a problem with COD4 :( everytime i want to join a server hosted 'with' punkbuster i get kicked all of a sudden with the following message: RESTRICTION: Service Communication failure: PnkBstrB.exe initilization failed
i've played on servers without punkbuster so far, but i want to play 'with' it. so does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?
if I get it on BF2142 - update manually and the message dissapears. Punkbuster is trying to update then fails for whatever reason. Manual update is quick and easy and completely resolves issue. I think the program is a small downlad - pbsetup
Apparently punkbuster is not a fan of 64-bit operating systems. this is usually the reason pb can't update automatically. what i did was download the pb maual updater from evenbalence and add a link to the executable in the cod4 folder.
