COD MW2 VS Battlefield Bad Company 2

Which one will be on top???

BC2 will be the much better game. I'm lvl 18 at MW2 and its already piss boring.

On the PC there will be no contest. There are lots of BF fans, I think, who were pretty disappointed by MW 2 and they will definitely be buying BC 2. Plus there are those that didn't play MW2 and were just waiting for the next BF installment.

On the consoles, however, I think that MW 2 will stay on top.

COD is beyond dull in comparison.

The COD formula is old and tired, at least BF creates cool arcadey military situations, COD is a worse/better version of CSS.

IMO BC 2 because:

-Had dedicated servers (better ping and community management).

-Supports a higher numbers of players, if you want.

-Supports the use of vehicles, if you want.

-Uses a squad system that allows you to reborn close to your teammates, which enhances a lot the teamwork.

-Encourages more the players towards teamwork.

-Maps are way more deep in gameplay thanx to the destructibility.

-Doesn't uses Steam or IWNET or matchmaking as mandatory envirinment to play.

BAd company 2 because it won't be a full out console port like MW2. But I'm still happy with MW2....

Bad Company 2 looks better, because it has more variety in its gameplay (and dedicated servers are a nice touch too :P).

Played the bc2 beta, uninstalled MW2.

i am so much exited about bad company 2 . mw2 is just after alot of playing online booooooring . nothing new no servers .

To be honest, I'm disappointed with both. DICE will need to make quite an improvement to BC2 before launch for me to be interested... runs terrible/lots of lag/bad hit detection. I understand they're working on it, but I hope they patch the beta with the fixes so I can see what the final product will be like.

Maybe not in PC, because without dedis MW 2 barely stands against COD 2, MW 2 has no room to clans and the community to grow whereas BC 2 can provide the same amount of support that BF 2 did.

I have a feeling that Bad Company 2 is going to be a lot better than MW2.

Can there be no middle ground takes? I just see mostly MW2 haters and BF lovers. I like MW2. Hated on it just like the rest and then got it on the cheap so I wasnt disappointed. I like a lot of MW2 even though I wish I could get dedicated servers along with favorites but matchmaking is usually quick and lag isnt as bad as when I started out with it. BC2 - Ill probably get that too when I get it on the cheap but only after Ive gotten rid of a few games. Actually - I may just get it for the PS3 - that way I can get rid of it if I need to. Supporting a company that doesn't care about you, and makes fun of you is stupid. Maybe I just have high morals and don't care for companys that don't deserve my money.

I've played more hours of the Bad Company 2 Beta than I have of Modern Warfare 2 if that says anything.

BC2, easily. It runs great for me with very little to no lag. I just wish conquest was available now.

Im sure COD will be more popular, but I preffer the gameplay of Battlefield BC2 over Modern Warfare2 to be honest. Its more realistic, not as super fast speed... I just prefer the gameplay style personally.

No Im not a hater.. I own COD MW2 and have the demo for Battelfield and will end up buyign it to.

For me personally I enjoyed the old COD game much more... COD1 and COD2 I just loved.

Bad Company will definitely be better than MW2, no doubt about that. I don't know about player base though. The team modes in MW2 are a joke, I cant beleive anyone plays them.Ilove FFA though and will keep playing til the game dies. For team play BF rules.

Unlike a lot of you, I think MW2 is a great game, but its randomness is just not for me. Bad Company 2 is in a different league. I just feel sorry for the MW2 lovers who dont know of BC2 or wont give it a try.

Ive seen a lot of these BC2 vs MW2 threads and 90% favor BC2. Im expecting some serious sales numbers on all platforms. But face it, BC2 will never beat MW2 in sales, no matter how good it is.

I prefer Battlefield BC2.

I agree with him, you cannot compare a large-scale, squad based game with an arcade style shooter. It's like comparing C&C Generals to Company of Heroes, sure, they're both RTS games, but that's about where the similarities end.

The hate on MW2 is just ridiculous though, and I think a lot of it is still just blind hatred that people didn't get dedicated servers, which sucks, but it didn't change the core gameplay. I like MW2, I really do, and I am in the BFBC2 beta right now as well, and I love both games. They are two completely different styles, and depending who is on Ventrilo or what I'm in the mood for, I'll play either/or.

To be completely on topic though, I have a feeling that on the PC, BFBC2 will dominate because it brings a slight arcadey feel to the Battlefield series, which will make it easier for people to just drop in and play. The rewards don't take very long to achieve, the mode is easy to figure out (at least, the current Rush mode), and the map isn't begging to have all 9,000,000 camp/snipe spots pointed out. It's a great game and it WILL be popular. The reception of the game by the communities is definitely going to be drastically different because BFBC2 won't have 12 year old kids screaming about the game or people trying to get IW to bankrupt (those people are sickening).

I must say I have not played MW 2, but I have done plenty of MW 1 playing.

If I base my opinions off of MW 1, I'd say I prefer Bad Company 2. I'm not a huge vehicle user, but I still really do like this game. At least, I like what the beta is showing.

BC2 in my opinion. It's also really funny playing with the MW2 fanboys (the only game they play) in the BC2 beta. They are use to the "sprint with double shotgun in small maps" play style. Ive never seen somuch rage quitting with the final comment "this game sucks MW2 is way better".....

Lawl, I know. It's funny how people didn't expect BF to be like this.

The game with vehicles is the better one.

Alot of hardcore bf fans will be disappointed, but to them I recommend waiting for BF3, the true sequel to the series.

MW2 appealed to the masses. That's why BC2 will not be able to overcome MW2 in sales on the consoles or the PC. Although they are the most fun people to play with, competitive communities are just a small fraction of the people that play these games.
