I am running windows vista home premium and when I click on the shortcut for COD2 multiplayer, the screen just goes black , the taskbar shows COD2 mulltiplayer is open , but it just shows a black screen.
I have to start the task manager, then minimize COD2 and maximize it again for it to work and something to show on the screen.
My other problem is the multiplayer lag, when im in a multiplayer game, it goes really slow, I have to put safe mode on for games to run reasonably ok. I have tried to run the game as an administrator, and using windows XP settings, but nothing seems to work. I have also tried changing the graphic settings, but it still doesnt work.
Here are my laptop specs:

First off less than 1GB of ram is no really enough for vista which will be a cause for slowdown. Secondly you need to make sure that any back ground apps are keep to a minimum in you case with the limited ram. Finally run a spyware/adware scan and remove any of those baddies that are monitoring you system and again causing a slow down.

COD 2 single player goes really slow aswell, the game seems to work on my old PC running windows XP wth only 512MB ram and its spec is not as good as my laptop.
