COD4: Modern Warfare or COD5:World at war?

I already have Battlefield Bad Company 2. I am looking for another online fps shooter.

I have norrowed down my choice to COD4: Modern Warfare or COD5:World at War.

I will use it completely for online play.I would like to have dedicated servers and an online active community.

Which one should i get.

well the only thing you need to figure out before chosing is do you want a modern or ww2 setting?

since people are still playing both and both have dedicated servers

I like both but yeah MW is the better game. And i dont agree with "wait for black ops". After MW2 black ops will most likely come with crap later on. MW is a proper PC game custom maps and mods etc. And alot of ppl still play it.

Wait for black ops its less then a month away.

Get MW.

Blackops is going to suck just like MW2,

I think you should go with WaW. Modern Warfare and World at War are the same exact thing, just different maps and theme. Either way your getting the same game.

I like the maps on WaW more and the setting is a lot more epic since it's set in the realm of World War II, the biggest conflict in human history.

WaW also gives you the zombies game add-on so you get extra content in that way, plus you can download the Vietnam mod with WaW which was surprisingly fun.

Modern Warfare is still great fun and I'm thinking of reinstalling it just at the mention of it :).

It may not be one of the latest CoD games but trust me, it's a hell lotta fun. Maps are great, guns and perks are also cool too plus there are servers where you can play up to 54 players. On average , servers run 24 player sabotage and Team Death Match games. World At War was nice too but I feel like the WW2 theme has been milked out, so definitely worth jumping into Modern Warfare. The modding community for CoD 4 is still active, there's even a zombie mod for it.

For the single player campaign, there were parts in World At War that felt draggy (Russian missions ftw though) but Modern Warfare's campaign was IMO really great all the way.

I wouldn't recommend MW2 due to the fact that they limited the player amount and also there are no dedicated servers which means there'll be tons of lag and hackers. But don't get me wrong, it's still a good game, just that there were things that were dragging it down for the PC version.
