I doubt it has anything to do with your specific hardware. It's got to be a network latency problem. I don't know much about networking, so I can't help with that :( There's probably somebody here that does though.
but its also happening in SINGLEPLAYER?shokwaav
Have you tried playing another game to see if you're having the same problem? Or is it just cod4?
[QUOTE="shokwaav"]it seems that i get lag for most games :(shokwaavstarcraft too!!! (singleplayer campaign) ok it seems to be that with any game involving keyboard + mouse.. i get lag. i played a game called chalk (2D singleplayer window) and it still fails.. any idea why?
do you have v-sync on that causes noticeable mouse lag for me in games like cs:s and l4d.johnny27nope i tried turning it on and off.. doesnt make a differenc again i think its a CPU problem (responsiveness of the WHOLE system) rather than a gpu/network latency problem
im not sure.. but ive felt it and its fine. and moreover, im using a laptop cooler and this laptop is newWhat are your temperatures? You're on a laptop from the looks of it, and they can have significant heat issues especially when gaming. You may need to try using an air can and cleaning it out, or mabe your fan failed altogether?

Run something like speedfan or hwmonitor to find the temps at idle and under load. Try defragging, run ccleaner, use driver sweeper to remove your video card drivers and reinstal them, use a different driver version and see if it helps. Which/how many processes do you have running? You could try using system restore to a point when it was working fine. If your laptop cooler runs via USB try unplugging it and see if that makes a difference. If none of that helps i'd say you're probably going to have to reformat and use the recovery disks that came with your laptop.
but to put your mind at rest.. the cpu is running at ~55 degrees C at 50% load.. and i dont even get to 50% load during gamingWhat are your temperatures? Well apparently it's not heat, did you try anything else I mentioned? It may be a driver issue. Hopefully you don't have to reformat. Did you make a thread in the hardware forum too?

Is it hot to the touch? It's most likely the GPU overheating (CPU temp might not represent this) if it happens in MW2 and not Warcraft 3. The simplest way to test this is to turn your computer off, let it cool down, then try running MW2 at bare minimum settings for a period of time. If it eventually starts lagging, then you need to purchase an external cooling device.
Also try a google search of your laptop type and "overheating" to see if anyone else has these issues.
ok 2 things
1. try updating or reinstalling the drivers for your mouse and keyboard.
2. make sure games are patched and up to date.
3. try turning off and making sure your vsync and triple buffering options are off, along with any smooth mouse options.. and on games that have it choose hardware mouse..
i hope any of this works, all i could think of off the top of my head.
