Hi i bought call of duty 4 a while ago and now i would like to play the multiplayer and i come across a problem. when i go into the multiplayer no servers show up and im using the 1.7 patch on the Internet i saw a couple of suggestions like port forwarding, firewall etc...(which i tryed all of them) and still noo luck does anyone know how to fix this problem???
Are you sure that you have PunkBuster enabled? I think one time PunkBuster failed to enable and then that blocked off a lot of servers for me, since the majority of them do run PB.
It will pop up in the process list as "Punkbuster.exe." Also, did you try plugging your computer straight into the internet line without the router to test for servers?
1. Start Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare-Multiplayer
2. Join Server
3. Set "Source" to Internet
4. Refresh the list
5. Click on "# of players" to put the max ones on top
6. Choose from the top 15 (perferbly {UN} servers)
If this does not help than try to join these servers later on in the evening, and the majority of players play Team Deathmatch. So, try joining that type of game. Make sure Punk Buster is enabled and that you are connected to the internet. :P
