I was just wondering why the game does this 50% - 75% of the time I boot it up. The menu will be laggy, and if I try to play a game I'm running it at around 2-5 fps. Normally with my settings it's at 45-60 fps. I checked the settings and they're fine. I put the cd in and the problem is still there. Drivers are up to date. Can anyone help?

Post your specs please :) And I am not familiar with the CoD4 engine, due to my absence from all computer news for several months, but if it operates in anyway that a lot of other engines do, when it is laggy, minimize it, then open it back up.

Looks like your rig is okay. Only thing I can think of is that your down to your last few gigs of hard drive and it is straining to gather up all of that information.

I have 35 GB left on D drive where it's installed. >.>

Do I need more space on C drive where Windows is installed? I have 15 gb left on C drive though...

Nope, that all seems fine, like I said, try the minimize thing when it happens next.
