UT3: amazing vehicle mods plus a very awsome death match
COD4: the 360 beta was amazing nuff said
Crysis: :( after the Beta Im very dissapointed in three ways:
1. it weren't that well optimised and quite laggy even on medium settings :(
2. Not fun
3. Crytek hyped it but failed to deliver a good beta :| why would a company make such a move.
Since they're not out yet I can't say for sure which is going to be better. There are demos for both COD4 and UT3 available but the demo for Crysis will be out in a couple of weeks.
I believe that Crysis will be the better game and the most complete package (single-multiplayer).
If you're only interested in online then COD4 and UT3 will probably be better (Crysis multiplayer sounds great but I haven't played it yet. Could be better than the other 2 though, who knows...).

Complete package?... I sujest that you download the Crysis Beta then say that with a straight face.
If anything can be called the complete package out of the three it would definetely be COD4; MP was amazing, SP demo was great.
Crysis will have a great SP but the MP will be like FarCry's IMO nothing to shout about nor will it be overwhelmingly popular.
UT3 single player will be... :(

I don't play betas, so I'll just wait for the demo to get a taste. Maybe you're right but I would not judge a game from a beta version of it. I say complete package because everything I've read indicates that multiplayer will be great.
Of course I can't be sure and IMO neither can you if you haven't played the final version yet. But if it does deliver in both fronts (single and online) it will be the most complete package.

Dude, seriously, IT WAS A BETA. Can't you get that into your head? Do you even know what a BETA is?

Dude, seriously, BETA's are pretty much what your going to get except more optimisation and bug fixing so your still going to end up with the same "MP GAME" but it might run/look better. Can't you get that into your head? Do you even know what a BETA is?
Single player:
Crysis>UT III>COD 4 (yes, COD 4 sp is a linear chain of scripts and infinite spawning of enemies, UT III at least have coop campaign to 4 players, and Crysis will be probably better)
Multiplayer:
Not sure, probably COD 4 or UT III > Crysis (Istill haven't beenplay the beta), the question is ¿will be both better than Quake Wars, BF2 or Hellgate mp? I doubt it.

not when the BETA only has one map and one game mode. How can you call Crysis's multiplayer a clone of Farcry's when you havnt even tried the different modes/maps yet.
Im asking cause im tight on money and I cant really get all of em, For some reason I like UT and they dont get boring eventhough they should, I loved the CoD demo. Anyone know why Crysis is so hyped up eventhough there isnt a demofor it yet. If its just graphics, itd be nice to see the graphics but im more of a gameplay guy. Gameplay over graphics. I think im gonna try for CoD on Christmas cause ive got Manhunt2 and GH3 on Wii at the end of this month, I wouldnt really have non-rushed time for CoD. Im really looking to decide between UT3 and Crysis on the 19th
Anyopinions?

Some people love it some say its dissapointing, seems like a love it or hate it game
I would say CoD4.
My reasoning:
UT3:UT24k=Crysis:farcry
Follow up on good SP with awesome MP - UT3. And if Crysis lives up to the hype and doesnt become some benchmark, then crysis.
So there is my two cents.
i am loving the crysis beta, must be the fun i have had with the nano suit.
Anyhow UT3 plays like the previous UTs (not a bad thing) looks good and plays well, COD4 is like COD2. I have issues with TimeShift but love the time manipulating.
So it boils down to Crysis>UT3=TimeShift>COD4
I vote Crysis, but thats just me. I plan on getting Crysis and CoD4, but letting UT3 pass by.l-_-lSame.
Just to keep myself from wondering... I'll just get all three. Besides, each person has there own opinion of what is "Their" type of game, and Crysis isn't really the same "Type" of game as both COD4 or UTIII. Not actually comparable.
I do however agree that I'll play the DEMO instead of trusting the BETA. I'm a software devoloper, BETA hardware and software tester. And BETA's ALWAYS give issues. A DEMO would be a better option to use for "judging"...
I beleive whichever one is chosen, you'll probably enjoy all three.
I personally would probably get Call of Duty 4 first.
From what I see now coming from all 3 Games:
CoD4 = Intense SP with some replay value, but equally intense multiplayer (I played the first CoD for 3 years)
UT3 = MP is a total blast to play (judging from the demo), but if it's anything like UT2k4, then it'll only be the MP worth playing.
Crysis = The single player would most likely outscore the multiplayer by quite a large margin. This is just an opinion as I haven't played the Beta due to some connection issues.
---
I think you should wait for Crysis to drop in price, espescially if you can only run it on the bare minimum and if the reviews say the single player outshines the multiplayer by far.
So really, for me atleast, it's matchup between UT3 and CoD4. From the demos I've played on both of them, they're really well optimized.
As someone else already stated, I think you can't really go wrong with whatever you choose.
For me though, I plan on getting Crysis and UT3 and letting COD4 pass by because my friend dl'ed the demo and honestly, we werent' that impressed. It feels just like COD2 (which in all fairness isn't a bad thing) just with a new setting and new weapons. And I was kinda turned of by how linear it is. That's why Crysis looks awesome! Some people have said that Crysis is all graphics and no gameplay but I don't think so. If you watch the gameplay vids, during the jungle levels the world is just open for you to explore and tackle any given situation the way you want to. For instance, there was a part where the player has to like infiltrate this dock or sumthin so he gets on top of this crane and just starts sniping people and then dives into the water. Or another part where he has to destroy this turret thing but he's out of nades and rockets so he drives the truck up next to it and uses it as an explosive lol It's stuff like that that'll set it apart from other FPS's not to mention all the cool nanosuit and gun customization options.
And finally UT3. I haven't really gotten a chance to play any UT games in the past but now that this one is coming out, I thought it would be a good time to see what all the talk is about. I haven't gotten to play the demo yet though so I've had no hands on time with it but it looks gorgeous and the gameplay looks very fun and fast-paced. Also, I recently bought CS:S and so now I'm totally into online mp gaming whereas before the only time I played mp was split-screen Halo with my friend lol So... yeah I guess I'll just have to wait until the Crysis demo to make my final judgement but I'm sure UT3 is a definite buy.
Unreal Tournament 3 110%...this is the best FPS game ever made and it has no rivaljackass16

Crytek hyped their own game? Yeah that was totally unjust. I mean what developer would want to sell their own games?

Don't have to post on forums to raise your level. All you need to do is browse the GS page, read, blog, review, etc
Im looking into getting just 1 until Christmas, which would be the best buy,ive played the Demos for CoD and Unreal, it would make it easierif the Crysis demo was outxkingkongxfor this topic, i'd say ALL OF THE ABOVE, but keep in mind, they all play drastically different. UT3 being the quickest pace, CoD4 slightly slower, and Crysis (well, according to what I see in the gameplay vids as I havent had 'hands on' experience) at an even slower pace. so it will depend on your preference and pace of a shooter you like. all of them though, look excellent and are 'must-haves' IMO
