I find TF2 loads better because there is nothign quite like it..
CoD4 multiplayer is alright, but it imo has all been done before.. And I found Counter STrike Source, BF2 etc etc far more gratifying.
TF2. So much more diversity in class, level type, teams, friends, strategy, how you want to play, and its an all around fun time.
Generally speaking on COD4 you are either good or bad. On TF2 you can sort of master whichever class you want and play what benefits to your playing style. Personally when I play sniper on TF2 I can go like 50-5 sometimes, but when I play soldier I'll be like 10-30 in that same time period.
cod4>tf2 any day/.//.....i hate that gaay medic thing in tf2 :P tf2 is soo cartony game.....while cod4 is far more intense,,,
They're two very different styles of FPS. TF2 is much more focused on teamwork, combining class skills, etc.
CoD4 is based more on individual skill, large group tactics, etc.
Pick which bests fits your playing style. Personally, I like both pretty much equally.

Man oh man.. What are you 12?
So ok we got "medic is gaay"
Game is cartoony..
CoD4 is more intense...
This seems like a very fair, balanced, and intelligent point of view.

He doesn't like the role of the medic and he doesn't enjoy the cartoon-y design of TF2.. while he finds COD4 more intense to his liking. Don't be mean now =PI too feel that these are a close match. They're both good (but not great) games and they are indeed quite different from each other. I'd go with COD4 though since it delivers a better overall package, and while TF2 does try to do more and be more different than COD 4 does it doesn't really succeed at driving that home.
The different classes don't have objectives only they can handle like the demopack in well is no longer, I think that's something missing, it's just a glorified kill-fest. the way it is. COD4 is all about that and can't really be faulted for that, but I believe TF2 can.
