the APB licensce is no longer a consideration for codemasters... siting a reason of too much effort involved. to save APB they claim would take 9 months of work to make it ship shape in their eyes. and they have enough on their plate during the next 9 months so dont expect it to be under their banner anytime soon. will they not get APB.. that is unsure but atm they currently just dont have the time or manpower to make it to their likings and fix the problems with it. sorry folks looks like that lifeline isnt getting throw yet.. but in 9 months from now.. meybe if its still up for grabs.

Only way I feel APB will be truly saved is if a good developer who knows how to work with UE3 well picks it up.

Let's not fool ourselves here either. APB has the potential (keyword) to be a hot item. But it's gonna take the right developer to pull off what people are expecting out of a TPS MMO.

Ok, dont get me wrong here but first APB tanking, and then Codemasters GM Guildford of "BodyCount" leaves. Not to mention Stuart Black's departure earlier during the year. Hmmm. They need new management!

You must mean you want Rfactor 2. After seeing the crap in the shape of f1 2010.... no reason to be looking for a f1 2011 ever from codemasters.

You do realize APB is in no way shape or form associated with Codemasters right?

Rfactor 2 looooks nice. But I wuv f1 2010, sure it's buggy... like as in they made the game buggier after the patch... (force feedback issues for people, and tri montior people like me have a screwd up FOV that was fine pre patch) BUT. The game is just fun, and I dig the live the driver thing. Makes the campaign much more fun. I find myself getting really bored in true sims after a while. Though I would love the physics of those in f1 2010, not that it's bad.

I didn't mean that Codemasters owns APB and or they associated with APB. I'm simply saying that they've made some bad choices and they finally realize to back away from APB after it has failed. Codemasters can't catch a break lately.

This is a bit off topic but how do those SLI'd GTX460's perform for you? I mean in terms of compatability, fps and game settings.I probably won't be able to afford tri-monitor setup any time soon but being a little wiser would still be nice.

I'm asking because I'll either get another 460 myself or wait till may next year and see what the market offers. My main concern is the compatibility of SLI since I believe dual 460's should just about max anything at 1920*1080.

Also, are there still issues with micro-stuttering?

APB = no buy...

They had horrible match making system, slow loading times for other player's skins and cars and they had both a system for buying premium in-game money AND had subscription fees.

You can't have a system to buy in game items for money AND have a subscription fee. Does NOT work.

EDIT: wrong thread :P

But it did sell 1.1 million right, and had 300k subscribers after a month? I know 300k compared to 1.1million isnt a lot, but thats still a heavy cash flow right?

The whole thing is a joke anyway, not Duke Nukem Forever scale but still pretty close when you think about it. All these people buying a people and getting screwed out of their money so quickly.

The kicker was that I actually Beta tested it and it had potential, but alas they just weren't willing to completely listen to their beta testers when they said the Missions were repetative, there was a heap of crash issues and if servers crashed when there were 2000 people at once online then surely they would have to do a massive overhaul. So naturally when APB closed down it was the biggest kick in the face to all the beta testers and especially those that bought the game. I don't think it'll be salvaged though.
