depends what flight sims you like, jets or old warbirds, most jet sims need the highest system requierments you can get.......i play the il2 sturmovik series, which is ww2 planes no radars no guided rockets no chaff just plain old dogfighting fun............ive tried alot of sims and they all fall short, to thew sturmovik series.........great fun and many people online...........also if you have any problems or questions go to the il2 sturmovik site and ask away... they will reply to your question almost imediatly.............great people there with alot of cool links to anything to do with flight simming..............
I'd reccomend jetfighter IV even though it can be x-tremely glitchy... Or if u have a PS2 get any of the Ace combat games.Point_Blank
Those aren't sims though. Those are arcade flight games. They can be fun (I love Crimson Skies myself) but it's a different kettle of fish. For WWII stuff, if you're interested in online play I'd recommend IL-2. If you want offline play, I like Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory. For modern stuff, there's Falcon 4.0 Allied Force or Lock-On: Modern Air Combat. I prefer Lock-On myself as it offers a variety of flyable planes and looks much, much better than Falcon. Falcon offers a much deeper level of detail and a fantastic single player dynamic campaign but the engine is dated, you can only fly the F-16 Falcon and online play is limited. For WWI, there was a new game just released 2 weeks ago called First Eagles. According to the propellor head crowd, it's buggy and still a work in progress but shows a lot of promise. There is also the (hopefully) soon to be released Knights of the Sky.

Storm of War: Battle for Britain is coming out next year. Not a whole bunch of media release out for it, but it looks pretty good from the screenshots and its from the makers of sturmovik.
Just trying to give ideas and they are fun and somewhat realistic. But u can buy FS2004 and download add on military aircraft but no weapons or anything...
