Why on earth are you using an outdated CPU on a nearly-dead socket? That setup's worth maybe $1200, tops. And I wouldn't even say it's worth that much since it's using old tech.

It's dead in the sense no more new processors, but I am sure Intel still makes lga 775 cpus still. Though I would get an i7/i5. And tbh, I don't like that setup. I could build something better for 900$ lol. (No os, I am in technet and dreamspark lol)

Actually, Lynnfield/Clarkdale is Intel's "We're getting rid of LGA 775 ASAP, so you have to buy new Mobos and CPUs." Lynnfield is just the first step, but Clarkdale is meant to be the end of LGA 775. Intel is going to stop making CPUs here within a year or less for LGA 775.

if you build it you'r self it woudl be about 850-900$US and for 1200 to 1400$ it woudl be Core i7 920 + one HD5870x2 + 1000W PSU + 6x2GB +Seagate Barracuda 7200:12 32MB = much faster then blue-caviar : Core i7 wouldn't be an oudated pc and i can make you one piece by piece that would be Awesome for PC monitor of the Resolution 1920x1200 16:10 (2MP) / 2560x1600 16:10(4.1MP)

and the pc link from newegg a cyberpower pc :my mate 04Carher ? well it still rip off for the money but much less then digital storm :D it amazing how Digital storm overcharge us they showed a model exactly like you said topic creator i think it was the EXACTLY same model in fact on the TV channel it made me fell sick knowing the price for piece by piece is at last 1,250$ less Expensive in canada and that include with better hardware such as 4870x2 vs single 260GTX

also G4TV also once a while show some pre-build pc and there cost it made me feel sick also about it to think of peopel buying that oh well at last this gamespot forum is a line of resistance against the Axis :P

with pc builder like me lol i can make you any pc from any budget just tell what resolution / budget you got and i can come out with something it don't take me too much time

Cost you no more than $1100 to build it on ur own. Probably a better one to be honest.

I would suggest building a i5/i7 PC...They'll be more future proof.

Thats ridiculously priced, for that price you could get an i7 setup with HD 5870 along with a 24" monitor! it should be priced 200-300USD more than the sold componants if they weren't scam artists... at most I would sell that for is roughly 1200USD, but you could build that for 800-900 exlcuding that PSU its a useless unless your planning on running 3 GPU's.

Compared to the build you posted its equal in performance overall and is over half the cost. If you build one similar it will about $200 or so less
