C&C4 isn't even a C&C game at all. The only thing even remotely similar is Joe Kucan and the live action cutscenes, and from I've seen/heard even those aren't very good.
I though Generals and Zero Hour were pretty good games. I don't know why people hate them. It is much better than C&C 4, But I do find C&C 4 pretty fun.
C&C 4 is more of an RTT than an RTS. Still, it can be fun if you don't go into it expecting a Command & Conquer game.

I completely agree. Generals is my favorite in the series. Why people hate them, I'll never understand.
i thought generals was pretty damn solid but thats just the warcraft 2 is superior to SC2 sort of me..
and to answer questions regarding that.. blizzard has a bad habit of burning all the rice fields in order to turn a profit.. there very bad at that and it annoys me. for example why the hell are the elves of silvermoon night elves when in warcraft 1 & 2 they were all high elves and therefor white.. they all take up plastic surgery or something?

If you sat there and tried to take them seriously then you totally missed the point. They're supposed to be kinda cheesy and overacted.

I dont understand the hate for Generals. Was it a classic C&C game? No, of course not, but it was incredibly fun online and offline with three unique factions

dont get me wrong, I am a fan of innovation.
but when a certain game formula for a game has proven for over a decade to be successful, popular, and fruitful for a developer and publisher...you dont mess with it.
C&C games just shouldnt be messed with dramatically, like they did with C&C 4.

I've been a C&C fan for a loooong time so I'm well aware of that they are supposed to be cheesy. Hell thats one of the reasons I loved them. But with Twilight they were going for more serious tone rather than cheesy. And even if they had been it isn't just the dull cast and cheap props, even Kane is phoning it in.
At best it's a below average strategy game with nearly nothing to do with the previous series. At worst it's a betrayal of hardcore fans and a disgraceful end to the franchise.
