I distinctively remember Tiberian Sun being panned or at least being regarded as lackluster at various review sites. That didn't stop me from buying both game and expansion pack. I thought it was a very fun game, fun enough to replay several times. I finally got rid of it* last year although I still have its Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge sibling.

*I liked Generals better and my Caselogic was running out of room. So, some games had to go.

Well it certainly wasn't as good as Red Alert for example, that was a superb game, this one, not so much but it's a fun game. The best will always be RA 2 imo.

I love the whole GDI/Nod and Allies/Sovets universes, but TS was such a let down. I remember reading up on the voxel engine they were going to use, but it was so poorly executed in the game.
I know RA2 used it, but that game was so much better.

Does anyone know if the expansion(s) for the original C&C and Red Alert are available for free too?

I know it doesnt appear to be on the linked download page, but i could have sworn that i saw them available for free DL a few months back when i came across these free games. I'm probably wrong here, but want to ask anyways.

i got the free download for c&c tiberian sun but i need help with making it work i created the file path it needed but when i try to run it it says the dll files are missing anysuggestions?
