So I recently bought the C&C Ultimate collection and I tried to run Tiberian Sun through origin. Unfortunately all I get is a black screen with the menu noises/music. I've tried virtually all the solutions I could find to fix it. From running the program as an admin, reinstalling direct X, updating my drivers but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Is there anyone else that has experience the same issue and managed to fix it? Also, C&C Red alert and C&C Tiberian dawn both do not work as well as I get the same error for each, "unable to allocate primary buffer". As with the above, I've tried multiple potential fixes but to no avail, if someone could help me out here it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried messing around in the Windows "compatibility mode"? Maybe run them in Windows XP mode or even earlier releases?

Try lowering your desktop resolution to 800x600 and see if that fixes it.

Well the 2 original games work just fine on modern OS's.

Even Tiberian Dawn has a mod to run it at 720p. Which I suggest using.

Tiberian Sun, however just has issues with modern systems, and there isn't anyway around it. Except for one. Take out your discrete gpu, and run it with onboard.  The game grinds to a power point presentation when building units. As the shroud clock that appears on the icons in the build section of sidebar, that counts down as units/buildings build. This is because of discrete GPU issues.

Unless EA did something to fix that with the latest release (ultimate edition) of Tiberian Sun. These problems will persist.

Tiberian Dawn, and Red Alert (no 720p mod for RA that is stable) are both freeware, try getting them that way.

Fantastic games though, one of my favorite franchises in gaming ever.
